Join us for the culmination of the NBMAA's partnership with The Hartford Dance Collective. This full-length dance performance will feature five brand new creations of choreography by Jillian Cusano, Rosanna Karabetsos, Gabby Dominguez, Michelle Montano, and Emily Daly, inspired by the exhibition "Modern Women: Visionary Artists."
The New Britain Museum of American Art was thrilled to partner with The Hartford Dance Collective for a very special Artist in Residence Program inspired by the exhibition "Modern Women: Visionary Artists" and sponsored by the Art Bridges Foundation.
Every Saturday morning from January 2025 through May 2025, a choreographer from The Collective has led a free movement workshop from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Each month features a different choreographer who also performs a short original solo dance piece inspired by one of the works in the "Modern Women" exhibition.
This partnership will culminate in a full-length dance performance, featuring five brand new creations of choreography by Jillian Cusano, Rosanna Karabetsos, Gabby Dominguez, Michelle Montano, and Emily Daly, inspired by the exhibition "Modern Women: Visionary Artists."
Culminating Performance Dates:
Thursday, June 5, at 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
